Volcano collage

Students at Harlescott on exclusive placements have been learning about volcanoes, particularly about the eruption of Mount Etna in Pompeii.  This week students have been creating collages to show the parts of volcanoes.

This week students at Harlescott have been creating collages to show the parts of volcanoes.  First they drew a cross-section of a volcano before sticking coloured tissue paper onto different areas.  We have learnt about the magma chamber, conduit and vent. We have also looked at why volcanoes erupt and where in the world they are found.
