Our outdoor education group enjoyed a fantastic day exploring the beautiful surroundings of Llangollen. We began our walk along the River Dee, taking in the scenery and enjoying the peaceful surroundings as we made our way through the town. We then crossed the historic bridge, taking in the view and continued our journey along the canal where we saw the horse-drawn canal boat in action. The walk provided plenty of opportunities to develop confidence and resilience whilst spending time in the local environment. On our journey back, we stopped at Ty Mawr Country Park, where students were able to meet the animals and even stroked the goats. This was a lovely finish to our trip, with all the students enjoying the chance to get up close to the animals. It was a brilliant day of walking, exploring and learning outside the classroom, and the students should be proud of the way they embraced the experience.
