Armed with a theoretical budget of £1,000, teams set off on foot to the Old Mill Antiques Centre in Bridgnorth and were given twenty minutes to locate five items (including a gift for a child and a painting of their choice), noting down descriptions and costs for each antique.  This involved working out team expenditure and potentially negotiating a price to ensure they stayed within their agreed budget.  It was a good opportunity to explore historic artefacts and their provenance, as well as to engage in some positive teamwork. Needless to say, the students emerged victorious with the staff team’s forfeit being to splash out on milkshakes for the winners in the Centre Café.
