After hearing students’ requests for more educational, animal‑focused visits, two Student Council members pitched a visit to the Exotic Zoo in Telford to the Executive Head Teacher and Head of School. Their successful bid allowed them to work with the zoo’s manager to organise the visit.

The visit gave students hands‑on experiences with a variety of animals, including feeding goats, pigs, maras, wallabies and ponies. They also explored the Desert and Rainforest zones to observe many other species.
