River Severn Visit

The students from HEC visited the River Severn in four different locations to observe its features and wildlife.
As part of their geography topic on UK Rivers, the students started their visit to the river Severn at the Shrewsbury weir, before moving on to Atcham, Buildwas and Ironbridge. They were able to observe several of the features they had been learning about, such as: meander, erosion, current, floodplains and river bank. The students also made note of the wildlife they saw, which included a heron and a large gaggle of Canada Geese. Taking on the role of geographers, the students took photos and recorded videos of what they observed.
