Animal Madness at HEC!

The children at Harlescott Education Centre welcomed Steven from the Dinosaur, Wildlife and Education Centre (DWAEC). They got to learn about, and hold, a range of exotic animals.

A huge thank you to Steven from DWAEC for delivering such an unforgettable experience for the children at HEC. Known as the ‘Animal Man’, Steven brought along an incredible range of animals, including a milk snake, two pythons, four-toed pygmy desert hedgehogs (fondly named Prickles and Tickles!), several tenrecs (all called Tom!), a meerkat, kookaburras, genets, barn owls, a tarantula, and even a scorpion.

The children were fantastic throughout the visit, listening attentively and soaking up a wealth of fascinating facts. One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity to get up close and even hold some of the exotic animals; an experience that saw many children bravely overcome their fears.

It truly was a wonderful day from start to finish. Thank you once again to Steven for creating such a memorable experience; the children absolutely loved it and will no doubt be talking about it for a long time to come.
