In Literacy, the SDP group at HEC have been reading the text 'Escape from Pompeii' by Christina Balit and learning about what life was like in Pompeii before and after Mount Vesuvius erupted. They also carried out research in Geography to discover how volcanoes are formed, where in the world they are located and what happens when a volcano erupts. The students then made their own volcano models, before creating an 'eruption' using vinegar and bicarbonate of soda.
