Hands-On History!

The history topic of Stone Age to Iron Age Britain provided our KS2 students at HEC with the opportunity to get creative!

The students learnt about Stone Age cave paintings and the different depictions painted on cave walls using natural materials, before entering their own 'caves' to paint in a similar style. They also studied Stone Age and Iron Age houses, and found out about how and why the materials used to build houses changed over time. The students created their own model houses and added extra details such as rows of vegetables, farm animals and drying racks for fish.
