Students’ vs Staff Football Game

Students at the Oswestry and Bridgnorth Centres have been developing their football skills.

This term in PE, students are focusing on developing their football skills. So far, they have worked on improving their passing and shooting. Students have taken part in skill-based challenges such as Beat the Keeper and the Crossbar Challenge, which have been excellent for developing accuracy and control in a fun and motivating way. It has been fantastic to see students encouraging one another and celebrating success.

A highlight of the term was the much-anticipated Student vs Staff football match. In a closely contested and entertaining game across both Bridgnorth and Oswestry centres, the students came out on top, leaving staff with some work to do! The staff team is already planning some “extra training” ahead of the rematch, where we hope to even the score.

Well done to all students for their effort and enthusiasm this term. We look forward to continuing to build on these skills in the weeks ahead.

The photographs included show the skills and speed the players are able to display when active in a game of football.
