Marvellous Marford Quarry Nature Reserve

Students from the Oswestry Centre visited Marford Quarry Nature Reserve to enjoy all it has to offer.

Students from the Oswestry Centre enjoyed the great outdoors when they visited the extensive grounds of the Marford Quarry Nature Reserve, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. With its network of footpaths, hills, valleys, viewpoints, and plentiful wildlife, there was always something new to experience.

The reserve is known for being a wildlife oasis, and we saw and could hear many different species of bird, numerous squirrels, rabbits, and bug life. There are a multitude of wildlife boxes affixed to trees, and we even saw the secret world of fairies hidden in the undergrowth, too!

The reserve offers visitors the opportunity to walk their dogs on the paths and through the trees, develop their fitness in the outdoor gym, and just have fun on the adventure playground, which we all did!
