CEIAG (Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance)

Legislation introduced in September 2013, requires that young people continue in education, employment or training until the age of 18. TMBSS understands the importance of raising the post 16 aspirations of all our students. The information below explains how this is done through our Careers Programme.

TMBSS has created a careers programme, which is informed by the Gatsby benchmarks (see below) and the Baker clause (provider access statement). We review the careers programme annually during the summer term. We use students, parents/carers, staff and employers’ feedback to enhance the careers programme.

Our careers programme can be seen here:  TMBSS Careers Programme

Staying in Education

Our aims are to:

  • Equip students with the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to make informed decisions about their post-16 plans and progression through a relevant careers programme.
  • Support students with personalised information, advice and guidance to help them build the confidence and empower them to take charge of their own career development and progression.
