Within 4 weeks there will be a TMBSS Education Review and a decision will be made as to whether the student is ready to go to the Fair Access Panel. If they are, then the three preferred school choices will be obtained from parents/carers. If not, another TMBSS Education Review will be set at 8 weeks. If appropriate TMBSS may also apply for an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Following the 4 or 8 week TMBSS Education Review the student’s case will be taken to the next Fair Access Panel.

This type of placement is to ensure a student has access to education whilst waiting for a new mainstream placement.

Following the Fair Access Panel the student should be on roll in their new school within 15 days and fully integrated within 6 further weeks. The length of this placement is approximately 13 - 17 weeks.
